3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

5. SMS Terms and Conditions

By providing your phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages from Jack, you agree to the following:

Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from Jack
• Contacting us at support@jackservices.com

After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt in again.

6. Service Professionals

Jack connects you with independent service professionals who are licensed and insured. You understand and agree that:

• Service professionals are independent contractors, not employees of Jack
• Jack vets service professionals for licensing, insurance, and background checks
• The service professional is responsible for the quality and completion of work
• Jack provides a job guarantee on services booked through our platform

7. Pricing and Payment

By using our Services, you agree to the following payment terms:

• Estimates: Estimates provided are non-binding and may change based on actual conditions discovered during the service
• Payment: Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed
• Platform Fee: Jack retains a platform fee from each completed job to cover operational costs
• Cancellation: Cancellation policies vary by service type and will be communicated before booking

8. User Responsibilities

When using our Services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your service needs
• Ensure safe access to your property for service professionals
• Be present or arrange access during scheduled appointments
• Pay for services in a timely manner
• Not use our Services for any unlawful purpose
• Not interfere with or disrupt our Services

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Jack Services, Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Jack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Jack's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim
• Jack is not responsible for the actions or omissions of service professionals beyond our job guarantee

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jack Services, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved as follows:

• Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issues informally
• Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon
• Venue: Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon
